Dr. Kathleen Van Voorhis is Director of Housing Justice for the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado. Dr. Van Voorhis holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University, and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. Kathleen has held leadership roles in emergency sheltering, service design, delivery, coordination, and coalition building. She has worked to design and implement innovative solutions to homelessness and food insecurity around the United States and abroad, including working with tribal entities in Alaska, and across the border in Juarez, MX. For ten years, both in government and non-profit sectors, she led advocacy efforts to create positive social change at the local, state, and federal levels around homelessness, housing, food insecurity, and migrant rights. Kathleen has extensive experience building local partnerships with faith communities, direct service providers, and elected officials to ensure equitable utilization of resources for the benefit of marginalized individuals.
