Students will find objects around the school with polygonal shapes. Using a measuring tool, they will calculate the perimeter and area or each item and document their findings in the digital Keynote journal with photos and calculations.

ELA.K.III

My Alphabet Book, is a creative and interactive way to learn and remember letter formation! Each letter is accompanied by a catchy poem that helps students visualize and recall how to form the letter. Students will engage with each letter by writing it, recording themselves saying the letter and its sound, and identifying words that begin with the letter in a fun sample sentence. To bring the alphabet to life, students will also take a picture of an object that starts with the featured letter, making learning both hands-on and memorable!

Basic multiplication fact practice. Use the game board on slide two with any number of teams. Each team takes turns selecting a number. If they answer correctly, click the points arrow to reveal a + or - reward. The home icon returns you to the game board slide. The teacher keeps track of the score; students won't know who wins until the very end.               -Kristina Allis

Morning Meetings is a PowerPoint presentation that includes slides for monthly calendars, days of the week, daily weather, weather graph, temperature, number of days in school, build a number and patterns. Students use an interactive Keynote to describe types of angles, find and measure angles in the real-world, and more!

In this Keynote activity, students will unleash their creativity by crafting a dynamic animation project. They'll start by creating a drawing using Keynote’s drawing tools. Next, they'll add animations that bring their design to life. Finally, students will export their animated masterpiece as a GIF. This engaging activity combines artistic skills with technical know-how, offering a fun way to explore digital animation.

This Keynote activity was used in second grade with a text features lesson.  Before working in the Keynote, students will write sentences about what they are thankful for.  They can also draw a picture showing what they are thankful for.  You will AirDrop the Keynote template to your students.  Then have them tap the white oval "Edit" button.  In the Keynote they will type their title "I Am Thankful" (to get it so they can type in the box the students will have to double-click on the word "Title") before typing their sentences in the "Body" box. The final step is to have them take a picture of their drawing by tapping the + and choosing "Take Photo".  You may also have them record themselves reading their sentences by inserting an audio recording.

This spider/Halloween themed Keynote is for Kindergarten. Students will count, write numbers, and compare numbers. This would be an excellent center activity!

Students can take a picture of their own hand using the media placeholder on the stock picture of the hand or they can just use that hand to decorate.  Students do not have to search for images to use.  The link on the instruction page takes students to a My VRSpot file with a bunch of pictures they can use.

Graphing Data is a Keynote presentation featuring six data collection and graphing projects. The included data sheets can be either printed or completed digitally within the Keynote itself. Although designed for 2nd grade, it can be adapted for other grade levels. Each project incorporates questions ranging from DOK levels 1 to 4.

Students take photos of objects that can be divided into equal parts using this pre-made Keynote activity. Then, they annotate the images, showing how the objects can be divided and what fraction each part represents.

This fluency journal is a year-long project for students to complete monthly fluency checks using Keynote. The students add a picture of what they are reading. Then, they record themselves reading the text.

This is a template students would use to recreate a fake Facebook page to represent a character from a book, historical character, fictional character, etc.

This Keynote is an interactive vocabulary notebook with a section for each week of the school year. Students complete the pages by writing the vocabulary word definition, drawing an illustration, writing an original sentence using the word, and providing examples and/or non-examples of the word.

This is a Keynote that students can use to retell stories, determine the central message, and explain how key details convey the message.

For use as a background in a green screen activity.

Earth Day Keynote activity for K-2. Students match items to be recycled to the correct bin, count items while cleaning up several environments, identify helpful vs. hurtful things for the earth, count and graph spring items, listen to a Earth Day book, and draw a picture of how they can help the earth.

This Keynote is for Kindergarten students learning to count, recognize numbers, and number words. It's as easy as counting and dragging animals with an added Challenge of showing the number in another way to extend the activity.

This is a collaborative activity that students can do to recreate iconic moments in history. It's also a team-building activity. 

Scavenger hunt in keynote using color words. The students are asked to locate items of a certain color and take a picture of them.

Students will take a selfie using the media placeholder on the face of the bunny.  To adjust size of face, double-tap the face then slide dot to get correct size.  Click "Done" when face fits on circle.  Students can then animate a path.  They tap the bunny image once and a menu bar will appear above the image.  Choose "Animate", then "Add Action", and finally "Create Path".  Give students a time limit on how long they can animate.  Tell them to begin by using their finger to make the bunny "hop" along the screen.  I usually count to ten and then tell the students to animate until I say stop.  After the ten seconds, the students then click "Done" at the bottom of the screen then "Done" in the blue in the upper-right of the screen.  Students can then record a message.  They click the "+" at the top of the screen.  Tell them to choose the third option down, "Record Audio".  After they record their message, they must tap "Insert" to add their message to the Keynote.  To save the Keynote as a video, tap the three dots in the circle, select "Export", then choose "Movie", when next box pops up tap "Export" again,  and finally for the next box tap "Save Video".  If you want students to add to SeeSaw, for the last step have students choose the SeeSaw app instead of Save Video.
